What a sunny day it was today, bit chilly but nice. Alan and I went for a little 7.5 mile run, normally I have to have a little break and have a walk, but today was brilliant, I ran virtually all the way and only stopped twice whilst running up a long steep hill. I wish I could do this all the time, I don't know why I felt different / more positive but I did.
Today's run I burnt 700 cals, not bad going I'd say. One thing though, I have a Garmin 110 forerunner that is driving me mad. It's too slow finding satellites, if you forget to charge it your stuffed, connecting to Garmin connect on line takes forever. Oh and today the heart rate monitor was playing up, no way was my heart rate 78bpm when running up a hill panting like a dog on the hottest sunny day, 178 maybe ut not 78.. With all this going wrong I'm sure I burnt more calories. But will go with 700.
A couple of weeks ago, I was looking through the blogs I follow and came across a watch that someone had blogged about and really liked it, it looked big and smart and for an old bird a little bit trendy. I ordered said watch from Ebay and am really pleased. The watch only cost £1.49 and I'm delighted, for one I can see what the time is (I'm as blind as a bat) and the fact that it fits well is amazing. I have tiny little wrists and find it hard for watches to look nice, but this one has a silicone strap and fits really well and the face of the watch looks smart. I would like to give credit to however posted the watch in the first place, but I can't find who it was that posted it. so here is the link http://my.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbay&gbh=1 for £1.49 you really can't go wrong
